From pre-school programs to higher education and beyond, I am a staunch supporter of lifelong learning.
Like many Americans, I wouldn’t be where I am today, running to be your next Congresswoman, without education. While serving in the Montana Senate, I supported appropriations to education, which included getting the highly successful City College at Montana State University Billings constructed and operational. Today, City College is a flourishing campus with growing enrollment offering many programs guaranteeing personal success.
While our current Department of Education continues to threaten cuts to critical programs like Pell Grants and federally subsidized loans for students seeking higher education, as your next Congresswoman I will stand-up for Montanans’ ability to get the support they need to better themselves through education. Affordable student loans, and funding for workforce training and livable wages are the foundation for success – for our youth, graduates and workers of all ages.
